Cambridge Law Test
Test Information:
The Cambridge Law Test is a new test designed and used by most of the Cambridge Colleges. It is intended to complement the other elements of the Cambridge admissions process, such as interviews, and consideration of academic performance to date, and the terms of conditional offers. Applicants who sit the test in Cambridge will be required to answer one question in one hour.Specimen questions and answers are available
The Cambridge Law Test is not a substitute for the admissions interview. An applicant's performance in interview will remain an important part of the College's admissions decision, along with the information in the applicant's application papers. Performance in the test is not intended to determine the admissions decision. Rather, it will provide a further piece of information which will be taken into account in selecting candidates for admission.
Applicants who sit the test in Cambridge will be required to answer one question in one hour. The question is chosen by the individual colleges from a bank of questions which includes essay questions, comprehension questions or problem solving questions. The questions will not require any prior knowledge of the law.
