Age and Admissions
As you will know the law on age discrimination has been changing under the Employment Equality (Age) Regulations 2006. SPA have been working with the Equality Challenge Unit in this area and two key publications are available below, the most recent being the Age and Admissions Briefing published in September 2007. ECU will be following up this Briefing with a more in-depth investigation of positive practice in relation to under-18s on campus, and how institutions are responding to this. This should be useful to those involved in planning outreach and widening participation activities, open days etc.
