Feedback statement

The Statement of Good Practice on Feedback to Unsuccessful Applicants (February 2008) for HEIs has been agreed by a number of bodies including the SPA Steering Group, the Delivery Partnership Steering Group, the UUK Board, the GuildHE Council and the UCAS Board.

The statement was circulated by SPA to UCAS correspondents and by UUK on behalf of the Delivery Partnership to Vice Chancellors and Principals of HEIs in February 2008.

HEIs are recommended to review their feedback procedures with a view to having their updated policies available on their websites from December 2008.

Feedback consultation

Following the Delivery Partnership consultation in the summer 2007 with regard to feedback, SPA staff analysed the 171 responses and updated the draft statement of good practice on feedback. The Delivery Partnership and SPA worked with HEIs and others in the HE sector to ensure the statement covers the points they raised. The SPA report analysing the responses to the Delivery Partnership's consultation on feedback in June 2007 is available here. (September 2007)
