Competence Standards
A briefing on Competency Standards and Admissions to Higher Education has been produced by Skill at the request of SPA, in the light of amendments to Part 4: Education of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995). The amendments came into force in September 2006 and introduced the principle of competency standards. This paper has also been agreed with ECU as the first step on the way to the production of a further more definitive statement.
