HE providers have a range of initiatives in place to support learners with caring responsibilities, however it is acknowledged that students in this underrepresented group are not always easy to identify, both as part of the admissions process and beyond. UCAS is working to improve the information collected as part of the application process, and SPA will be working with them to develop good practice considerations and explore how HE providers support carers throughout the applicant experience.
